This notice explains what personal data OYSS collects, why, and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. 本声明说明杰青会收集哪些个人数据、用途，以及你在英国 GDPR 与《2018 年数据保护法》下享有的权利。
Who we are

OYSS (Outstanding Young Scholars Society), the registered entity named in the site footer, is the data controller.

What we collect

Membership enquiries: details you choose to provide through the WeChat assistant or by email, such as your name, contact details, institution, research interests, current stage and the CV you send when applying. The website does not provide a membership application form or CV upload. Partnership enquiries: organisation, contact name, role, email, phone, country and your description. Contact messages: name, email, organisation and message. Website analytics, if enabled, collect aggregated usage data only.
入会咨询：你通过微信小助手或邮件自愿提供的姓名、联系方式、所在机构、研究方向、当前阶段，以及申请时提供的个人简历。网站不提供入会表单或简历上传功能。合作意向：机构、联系人、职务、邮箱、电话、国家及需求描述。联系表单：姓名、邮箱、机构与留言内容。若启用网站分析，仅收集聚合使用数据。
Why we use it

To assess membership applications, respond to enquiries, administer programmes and send programme information to members. We do not use your data for automated decision-making.
用于审核会员申请、回复咨询、组织活动，以及向会员发送活动信息。我们不将你的数据用于自动化决策。
Legal basis

Consent for programme communications; legitimate interests for responding to enquiries and running the membership network; legal obligation where record-keeping is required.

How long we keep it
保存期限
Unsuccessful applications and general enquiries: 12 months. Member records: for the duration of membership and 24 months after it ends. An attached curriculum vitae is deleted at the same time as the application record it belongs to. You may ask us to delete your data sooner.
未通过的申请与一般咨询：12 个月。会员记录：会员期间及结束后 24 个月。上传的简历与其所属申请记录同时删除。你可要求我们提前删除。
Who we share it with
数据共享
Service providers who host the site, store submissions and send email on our behalf, under written data-processing terms. We do not sell personal data. Where a programme is run with a partner institution, participant lists are shared only with your prior agreement.

Where data is processed outside the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise any of these, or to complain, write to the address in the footer. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
